NT Showcases Thailand’s Gateway to Space: NBTC Satellite Subcommittee Visits Sirindhorn Satellite Earth Station
In a significant stride towards Thailand’s space technology leadership, National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT) welcomed distinguished delegates from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) to the cutting-edge Sirindhorn Satellite Earth Station in Ubon Ratchathani on November 22, 2024.
Mr.Thanade Chalermwat, Executive Vice President of Network Operations, along with the satellite operation’s expert team, hosted Air Chief Marshal Dr. Thanapant Raicharoen and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somphop Purivigraipong, NBTC Commissioner, leading members of NBTC’s Satellite Subcommittee, for an exclusive visit of Thailand’s satellite communications facility.
The delegation experienced firsthand NT’s technologically advanced telecommunications infrastructure, featuring sophisticated monitoring systems for live broadcasting and satellite communications. A highlight of the visit was the presentation of the groundbreaking SNP Gateway project for OneWeb’s Low Earth Orbit satellite network, positioning Thailand at the forefront of next-generation satellite technology.
