NT Delegates Participate in the APSCO/UOS/AUSS International Symposium 2024
National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT), under the Satellite and Network Business Division, proudly delegates participate in the APSCO/UOS/AUSS International Symposium 2024, held from November 5-7, 2024, at the Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Science, and Technology (SAASST), University of Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates.
Dr. Peerasak Wangsom, NT’s Satellite Frequency Coordination Officer, was selected by the Office of the National Digital Economy and Society Commission (ONDE) and the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO) to present Thailand’s perspective during the symposium. His presentation, titled “Collaborative Strategies Between LEO Satellite Operators and National Providers”, explored the growing importance of cooperation between Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite operators and national satellite providers to address regional communication challenges and foster sustainable growth in space communications.
In addition to the symposium, delegates attended a specialized training program on Frequency and Orbit Elements in Satellite Design, organized by APSCO from November 3-4, 2024. The course aimed to strengthen participants’ expertise in satellite design, international standards, and compliance with ITU regulations.
The APSCO/UOS/AUSS International Symposium serves as a global platform for member nations to share insights, policies, research, and innovations in the space and communications sectors. NT’s involvement in this high-profile event reflects its commitment to advancing Thailand’s satellite communications capabilities. The symposium provided NT with valuable opportunities to exchange knowledge, build international partnerships, and enhance its role in the global satellite industry.
